Our Squadron At A Glance
The Bethesda-Chevy Composite (B-CC) Squadron has continued to train, develop, and mentor leaders of character since its inception in 1965. Currently meeting in Gaithersburg, Maryland, we are a local unit of the Civil Air Patrol. As a volunteer organization and part of the Official Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, we are charged with the implementation of three Congressionally-mandated missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services.
Thanks to the hard work of our volunteer airmen, we take pride in maintaining our Squadron's history of excellence. In 2024, B-CC was recognized as Maryland Wing's Squadron of Merit, named Squadron of the Year for Group 1, awarded their 11th consecutive Quality Cadet Unit Award, and presented with a Squadron Aerospace Achievement Award.
As a composite squadron, our membership serves cadets (ages 12 through 20) and adult members (ages 18 and above). We meet weekly, every Thursday from 7:00 -9:30 pm), at the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters located at 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.Please see our calendar and meeting/event information for more about upcoming activities.
