Cadet Programs
B-CC has a long history of producing quality leaders through its Cadet Program. While focusing on CAP's core values of integrity, volunteer service, excellence, and respect, cadets learn valuable leadership skills that they can use throughout the rest of their lives. Upon completion of the Squadron's Cadet Great Start Program, cadets have the ability to participate in a number of training opportunities to include encampment, national cadet special activities, color guard, honor guard, drill team, model rocketry, trips, CyberPatriot, ground team, etc.
B-CC's cadet program is generally structured into three stages. The first stage encompasses cadet onboarding where cadets complete the Cadet Start Program and earn their first promotion to Cadet Airman. The second stage includes assignment to one of the squadron's 4 main flights (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta). As a member of the flight, cadets continue to promote and begin to explore the different opportunities and activities available. The final stage is service on the squadron's cadet staff for those that complete the cadet staff selection. As cadet progress through their time in CAP, they are encouraged to take leadership roles to further develop and hone their leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
